Performance for the week 100 because this week was pretty hectic with it being spring break! But overall work was accomplished.

The class lead today was highly informative because Pink ribbons are something that you see everywhere. People in society these days like to pay tribute to people with life threatening diseases and those whom have passed from the effects. Pink ribbons were established to draw attention to this growing disease of breast cancer. What a genius idea society loves to donate money to help a good cause but I would say most don’t donate because they usually don’t receive anything to show for their contributions. By making these pink ribbons in respect to breast cancer victims’ people can show that they care and are aware of the situation. To people showing awareness to this more and more companies are starting the same concept just to show that they care and to the people affected by these types of issues it means a lot when they see a ribbon of a certain color that represents a problem at hand.

Also something controversial issue is that a pink ribbon doesn’t really represent the males with breast cancer. Just because the disease is more closely associated with females why can’t the ribbon be a neutral color? Who’s to say what is a neutral color; it’s just a color not meaning to offend people or is it?
